The Charles Dickens’ Christmas Show- Every year in December

T’was some weeks before Christmas
When all through the school
The pupils in Year 4 weren’t doing lessons
Now isn’t that against the rule?

That’s because the Year 4 pupils are very busy rehearsing for the Christmas show. Learning scripts, practising dance moves and getting the words of a song just right take weeks of work. Each class works hard to put on a fun and entertaining show for parents and friends.

All the Year 4 classes (SESB and German-stream) prepare a  performance for our yearly Christmas Show. The preparation takes places during lesson time and lots of hard work goes into to perfecting the 20 minute performance. Each class has a chance to show off their piece at the last assembly before the Christmas holidays. This assembly serves as the dress rehearsl for the evening performance for parents, grandparents, siblings and guests. The money collected from the Christmas Show ticket sales is donated to the Childrens’ Hospice “Sonnenhof” and is presented to an employee of the hospice at the first assembly in the new year by the Year 4 class speakers.

Every year we are donating around 450€ from the entrence fee of the Christmas Show to the hospice “Sonnenhof”.
